Community Awareness Building Session on PEC

To build the awareness among the community on primary eye care in Barishal, Pirojpur, Jhalokathi and Patuakhali districts, Institute of Social Business organized 10 orientation sessions in October- November, 2018 in different parts of the mentioned districts. The specific objectives of the orientation session are:

• To enhance the awareness and capacity of the participants on Eye Care Issues;

• To understand the participants about preventive measures of eye diseases;

• To ensure referral services for eye care;
• To increase inclusion in eye health services.

A total of 1000 community people including Leader of Influence (LOI) were aware through the orientation sessions. These programs were supported by The Fred Hollows Foundation.
